Operating from the rocky coast of Maine, Clint Chase BoatBuilder is proud to be working with exceptional
boat designers and kit suppliers around the world to bring their beautiful
boats to the US market in the form of CNC Kits. We also build new boats at our shop in Portland, Maine. We are partnering with François Vivier,
Michael Storer, Eric Risch and soon adding notable kit designers from
the UK and Finland to our offerings. Kits are cut by professional CNC
operators in Maine, Maryland, and we are adding a location in Washington to make
shipping affordable for customers. We use either Joubert or Brunzeel plywood in all of the kits. Clint uses his teaching expertise to offer customers a lot of resources to help you through your project. All the pre-cut plywood (hull planks, bulkheads, etc.) needed to build the boat in addition to some extra useful parts like laminating jigs, hock boards, jump sticks, for instance.
Instruction packets and a "getting started" packet from us
Plans are priced separately so you will need to add those to an order unless you already have them
Additional kits can be provided:
- Epoxy Kits through System Three We can supply detailed lists for System Three Silver Tip Products, what to use, where to use them, and how much to get for your project. Buy from Duckworks.
- We can supply Timber kits on a custom basis and charge time and materials to mill and cut all the timbers you will need for your boat. We have some special features like rabbeted gunwales which look great for varnished boats especially.
- We do provide support (included in kit price) for all our kit builders through the web and email.
- Pricing is by phone or email right now because of the varying nature of plywood costs around the country and labor rates for cutting parts not to mention shipping and handling. Email us if you want a quote.
